The History of [CGZ]

2000
Bought Half Life, installed CounterStrike and never turned back

March 21 2000
I was in a clan called [CoS], fka [SHN]. Originally this clan was only 5 core members (yup- I was one of them) that all worked together. This clan was fun for the most part. I wanted to have my own gaming site, so I registered CyberGameZone.com and called it "DOA's Realm"

March 2001
CyberGameZone begins hosting CS 1.6 Tournaments internally to clan member then expands to the public.

March 2002 - August 2003
The Site was hosted by one of the founders of [CoS]. I wanted to learn how to own and operate a website. I already was hosting 2 CS servers. I loved to play custom maps. I would search hours and hours to Download. Unfortunately I ran into LOTS of bad links or the files weren't organized. So I begin building the CyberGameZone.com empire. For months, maps were downloaded, installed, and tested. They MUST pass before activating in production. WhoopAss would spend hours testing with me. Over time, DOA's Realm became VERY popular. Today, we are ranked #1 at FavPage.

September 2003
It was time to go off on my own, so I moved CyberGameZone.com to my owner server and began hosting it.
Wow, there was MUCH to learn. I thank many of the Core CoS members for assisting me in my adventure at the beginning.

January 27, 2004
It was time to move on forever from [CoS]. Three of us left [CoS] (WhoopAss, Jebus_Crist, and DOA) and began thinking of what we wanted to do. So I registered CyberGameZone.net

January 27th - Febuary 4th, 2004
The 3 of us just thought of starting a clan for fun. So, WhoopAss suggested- lets name it CGZ. This would be the Main letters in CyberGameZone.com

Febuary 5th, 2004
The Birth of CyberGameZone.net as a [CGZ] clan site. And the Birth of [CGZ]. The clan was started with 3 members and over time- we have grown to 60+ members

CyberGameZone moves all expansions sites to a "Multi-Clan/Alliance/Guild site.

WhoopAss, Jebus_Crist and myself just love this game and find it VERY addicting. This has been a great hobby for all of us. Of course running a clan has its issues. All I know, it is NOT easy as some may think.

All in all, [CGZ] is basically a clan of good friends playing MANy games and HAVING FUN!
